You could say she learned from the best: starting out her career by working closely with established artists like Alain Clark and Jett Rebel. However, as a solo artist Amber developed her own unique style. Not just as a singer, but also as a songwriter and producer.

Inspired by her grandmothers piano playing and her aunt’s singing skills, she started performing live at age 15, attending any jamsession she could find in her -then- hometown Haarlem. Only a few years later she got discovered by Alain Clarks manager and started her professional career as a backing vocalist in his band. Working closely with an artist in the prime of his career sparked the desire to start her own solo project. Amber went to the conservatory of Amsterdam to further develop her songwriting and producing skills, resulting in her first EP ‘Sun Gazing’. By that time she had her second big gig as a backing vocalist with Jett Rebel, With who’m she also co-produced her EP. Her single’s I want it and Sun Gazing both made playlists on Dutch national radio. Her debut album Moonchild, which she produced herself, came out in 2017 and resulted in a several features on Dutch national television.

Blessed with a powerful and versatile voice reminiscent of the great female pop vocalists of the 20th century and inspired by modern beat-based urban and hiphop, she says what she feels needs to be said in her own straightforward and unapologetic way. She is an Amsterdam based artist and songwriter.

Amber is releasing a series of new singles in 2019, called MMXIX.
